Tilling and Rotavating

Rotary tilling to prepare a fine seedbed in a single pass, especially on smaller plots and vegetable land.

About Tilling and Rotavating

Tilling and Rotavating

A rotavator chops and mixes the soil to create a fine, even seedbed and works crop residues and green manure into the ground. It suits vegetable gardens, nurseries and plots where a single-pass preparation is wanted, and can also be used before sowing pasture.

What we do

  • Assessment of the field and tilling depth needed
  • Rotary tilling with a tractor-mounted or walk-behind rotavator
  • Incorporation of crop residue or manure where requested
  • Levelling of the prepared bed
  • Record of the area tilled
  • Guidance on the next step such as bed forming or planting

What we need from you to quote

  • Plot size and location
  • Crop to be grown and the soil depth to be tilled
  • Soil type and moisture level
  • Whether manure or residues are to be incorporated
  • Presence of stones, roots or stumps
  • Access for the machine and preferred date
