Harrowing Services

Breaking up clods and levelling ploughed land into a fine seedbed with tractor-drawn harrows.

About Harrowing Services

Harrowing Services

After ploughing, harrowing breaks the large clods and creates a seedbed suitable for planting, while also helping to control young weeds. We use disc or tine harrows depending on the soil and the crop's needs.

What we do

  • Inspection of the ploughed land and seedbed requirements
  • Harrowing with suitable disc or tine harrows
  • One or more passes to achieve the seedbed needed
  • Levelling of the field surface
  • Record of acreage harrowed
  • Recommendation on planting timing

What we need from you to quote

  • Farm location and acres to be harrowed
  • Whether the field has already been ploughed and when
  • Crop to be planted and the seedbed fineness required
  • Soil type and moisture at the time of work
  • Any stones, stumps or obstructions in the field
  • Preferred dates and access for the tractor
