Wireless alarms use battery-powered sensors that communicate with a central panel by radio, making them ideal for finished buildings, rentals and quick deployment. They are easy to expand. Batteries need periodic replacement, and radio range must be checked on site. Wireless sensors need no signal cable, but the panel, sirens and any wired accessories still need properly sized stranded copper alarm cable for power.
