Lightning Protection and Earthing

Lightning protection systems, earth electrodes and equipotential bonding for buildings, masts, farms and installations.

About Lightning Protection and Earthing

Lightning Protection and Earthing

Thunderstorms are common in Uganda, so protection is worth considering for tall or exposed buildings, schools, churches, farms and equipment rooms. We design and install air terminals, down conductors and earth electrodes, and measure earth resistance to confirm the system works as intended.

What we do

  • Risk and building assessment
  • Air terminals and roof conductor installation
  • Down conductors and test points
  • Earth electrodes and measurement of earth resistance
  • Bonding of metalwork and surge protection where required
  • Inspection report and drawings

What we need from you to quote

  • Building type, height and roof material
  • Site location and soil type
  • Electrical and communications equipment to be protected
  • Existing earthing or lightning protection and any past strikes
  • Access to roof and external walls
  • Whether it is a new building or an existing one
